Road Equipment Operator – Arapahoe, NE

Position Open until Filled.

Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age, have a valid Nebraska Driver’s License and have a good driving record. Preferably have some experience operating heavy equipment or some construction knowledge. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, stoop and work in outdoor temperature extremes. A Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License may be required. The county may help obtain license if necessary. Must be able to report to work outside of scheduled work hours for snow removal and/or other highway emergencies. Must be able to pass a pre-employment or random drug/alcohol test and a Physical Assessment Screening upon request.

Essential Duties:
Operate and maintain vehicles, trucks and other heavy equipment to complete maintenance on gravel and hard surface roads. Performs maintenance on machinery. Performs tree and brush cutting. Upkeep road signs. Perform other duties as directed or as situations dictate.
